I believe optimal health is a great deal more than just the absence of sickness. It deals with seeking the highest qualities possible of the experience of being a human being with a consideration of the mental, spiritual, physical, environmental, & social aspects of your life. The secret to my overall good health in body, mind & spirit is
I believe optimal health is a great deal more than just the absence of sickness. It deals with seeking the highest qualities possible of the experience of being a human being with a consideration of the mental, spiritual, physical, environmental, & social aspects of your life. The secret to my overall good health in body, mind & spirit is a firm adherence to a healthy lifestyle with good nutrition & daily meditation. I do not use any illicit drugs & I have only rarely taken over-the counter & prescribed drugs. I do not smoke. Daily I eat primarily grilled & baked chicken & fish, non-fat Greek yogurt with fresh blueberries & a lot of other fruit & vegetables along with some peanuts, other nuts & green olives. I eat a little red meat occasionally. I only rarely drink a glass of red wine late at night when I know I will not be driving anymore that day. I take high quality multivitamins along with Omega 3 fatty acid, vitamin C, & vitamin B-12 supplements daily. I drink 1 cup of soy milk, 1 glass of Korean ginseng tea, 2 glasses of iced coffee & several glasses of iced black & green tea daily. I limit my sugar & salt intake as much as possible. Also I do stretching exercises & take my dog Shrimp on several long walks daily & I spend as much time as possible in nature everyday!

Olives have many antioxidants which have been shown to lower your risk of chronic illnesses. Oleic acid is the primary fatty acid in olives & may be associated with better heart health. Antioxidants found in olives along with oleic acid may lower your risk for many types of cancer. And many plant compounds in olives appear to help prevent bone loss & the development of osteoporosis.
Bananas have many vitamins & minerals including potassium & vitamins C & B6. Colon health is nurtured from the starch & pectins in bananas. And bananas are good for heart health due to high amounts of potassium & antioxidants. The antioxidants may also help prevent many types of cancer. .Good nutrition can boost your general health & mental health. A healthy diet includes a lot of fruits & vegetables. Foods which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon, are also important. And dark green leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds & legumes, such as beans & lentils, are also healthy foods!
Meditation can produce an intense state of relaxation along with a tranquil mind. And meditation can help you experience a sense of calm & inner peacefulness which can be beneficial for your emotional well-being & your overall health!
You & your pets can do wonders for each others overall health. The companionship you provide each other with helps alleviate feelings of alienation, loneliness, depression & anxiety. And staying active caring for your pet helps you maintain good health in body, mind & spirit!
Ecotherapy, or Nature Therapy, is the practice of spending time in nature to nurture growth & healing, which helps nurture good health in body, mind & spirit. You should try to spend at least 30 minutes daily in nature whenever possible!
Music therapy helps promote emotional health, cognitive functioning, physical health & social well-being. Music therapy can also help you cope with stress & improve your quality of life.
